The creation and use of MY Renault are subject to compliance with the present terms and conditions of use ("MY Renault T&C").
When you access MY Renault through the website and the App.
MY Renault is a website aimed at simplifying the use and maintenance of your Renault vehicle.
MY Renault users (“Users”) refers to all prospective or current Renault customers.
To access the services detailed below (“Services”), it is recommended that you register your vehicle on your MY Renault account.
Adding a vehicle is possible for all Renault vehicles under 20 years old registered in Ireland.
MY Renault users can then benefit from all of the Services that their vehicle is eligible for.
The Services offered are as follows:
- Managing your profile data and the information you wish to receive.
- Information about your vehicle to facilitate your daily driving (e.g. registration, unique identification number (VIN), equipment, engine, vehicle manual, mileage entered by the customer or the Renault network, warranties and service contracts ).
- The specific service manual for your vehicle: the next service intervals (calculated according to your mileage, the features of your vehicle and your maintenance history), the dynamic maintenance program and access to the archive of your paid visits to workshops in the Renault network.
- The estimate of the resale price of your vehicle. The progress of your order of a new vehicle (in addition to the information provided by your Renault establishment).
- Tips, benefits and promotional offers tailored to your vehicle and profile information known to Renault.
- The choice, location and information about your favourite Renault establishment.
In addition to the above services, MY Renault also allows:
- Order service contracts on the MYRenaultShop website (only via the website)
- Order applications and updates on the R-LINK Store website (only via the website) for vehicles equipped with an R-LINK system
Renault allows you to create an account on the website.
a) If you wish to register via the MY Renault section on www.renault.ie, you will be able to access the registration form, fill it out, choose a password, then read and accept the terms and conditions by checking the box. MY Renault will then send you an email inviting you to activate your account (click on the link in the email).
b) If you wish to register with your Renault establishment or Customer Relations, you must provide your email address. You will receive an e-mail with a link to the pre-filled MY Renault registration form with the personal data entered during your visit to the Renault network. You will then need to enter a password to generate your registration. MY Renault will then send you an email inviting you to activate your account (click on the link contained in the email).
c) Following a new vehicle order from Renault network and if you have given your email address, you will receive an email with a link to the pre-filled MY Renault registration form with the personal data entered during your visit to the Renault network. If you wish to register, you will then need to enter a password to generate your registration. MY Renault will then send you an email inviting you to activate your account (click on the link contained in the email).
By signing up for MY Renault, you will benefit from daily support managing your vehicle.
You can also, if you have agreed, receive, by email, information on personalised commercial offers from Renault, its subsidiaries and its sales network.
You have the option to terminate these communications at any time in your MY Renault profile. You can also terminate them by clicking on the unsubscribe link in each communication sent.
During the registration process, you will enter an account name and password.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and your password.
You agree to inform RENAULT immediately of any unauthorised use of your account and / or password, as well as to ensure that you log out at the end of each session.
RENAULT cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage occurring in case of breach of these obligations.
The registration, access and use of MY Renault require RENAULT to collect certain data, including personal data which, for the purposes of the applicable regulations, make it possible to directly or indirectly identify a natural person.
Personal data is processed by RENAULT, in its capacity as data controller, in accordance with these regulations. The personal data concerning you and the data relating to your vehicle are essential to enable you to register for MY Renault, to use the Services and/or the Features and to receive offers for new services and products if you have agreed to do so.
RENAULT shall take appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data, in particular to protect them against loss, accidental destruction, alteration and unauthorised access.
The processing of personal data referred to above is liable to involve transfers of personal data to countries that are not members of the European Economic Area whose personal data protection legislation differs from that of The European Union. These data transfers are carried out according to conditions and guarantees to ensure their security and confidentiality.
It is your responsibility to inform, prior to the use of the vehicle and connected services, any person who uses the vehicle or has taken a seat on board the vehicle of:
- the collection and processing of personal data,
- the geolocation of the vehicle,
- the possibility of disabling vehicle connectivity,
and to obtain their authorisation for the transmission to third parties of certain data implied by the use of the vehicle and the Services and/or Features.
Personal data may be communicated for the purposes mentioned above to legal persons of the RENAULT Group, to its partners and service providers, within the scope necessary for the completion of the tasks entrusted to them.
RENAULT may also disclose personal data in the event that it is required to disclose it to an authorised third party in order to comply with any legal obligation, or to apply or enforce the present terms and conditions. To keep personal data up-to-date and accurate, the User is invited to check them regularly and to modify them if necessary in the “My Profile” section of MY Renault.
The personal data specific to MY Renault will not be retained by RENAULT when the MY Renault account is closed.
The personal data relating to your vehicle will be stored for the duration of your R-LINK connectivity contract.
In accordance with the current regulations, the User has a right of access to their data as well as the right to ask for the rectification, updating or deletion of inaccurate, incomplete or out of date data and the right to opposition, subject to a legitimate justification, to the processing of their data by contacting the Customer Relations Service - RENAULT SAS - 92109 Boulogne-Billancourt Cedex.
This opposition may however make it impossible for RENAULT to provide the subscribed service. The User also has the right to the portability of their data, allowing them to receive their personal data that has been provided to RENAULT, in a structured format, and to require from RENAULT their transmission to any other data processing manager that they may communicate to RENAULT.
The MY Renault T&C may be modified at any time by RENAULT due to the evolving nature of MY Renault and Services that may be subject to change, including the provision of new features, or by removing or modifying certain features.
It is therefore advisable for the User to refer to the latest version of the T&C accessible at any time on the website or mobile application before any navigation. In case of disagreement with the T&C, no use of MY Renault should be made by the User.
If any clause is held null and void, it will be deemed unwritten but will not invalidate other clauses.
The failure of RENAULT to exercise any of the rights resulting from these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of asserting its rights.
Certain features of the MY Renault application are only available in Metropolitan France.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to French domestic law.
The language of the Terms and Conditions is the French language.
In case of dispute, the French courts have sole jurisdiction.
